I am so terribly excited that my short little history of Tantur is going to be available this spring at Liturgical Press.

Tantur: Seeking Christian Unity in a Divided City tells the story of Tantur Ecumenical Institute, a small little set of buildings built over an old hospital on a hilltop between Jerusalem and Bethlehem.

I first visited Tantur in 2017, but I’ve known it was a special place after my sister studied abroad there, eight years earlier. It’s been a true delight to try to share the story of this place that taught me so much about Christian community, Christian unity, and our shared human history in one of the most beautiful places in the world.
